Mild Shower Gel without Perfumes for Gentle Skin Cleansing while undergoing Radiotherapy 

The skin in the area being treated can often be damaged by radiotherapy. To prevent skin irritations, such as redness, swellings and itching due to the radiation (known as radiodermatitis), the skin should be cleansed carefully and gently. 

Linola RadioDerm Shower Gel was specially developed for the gentle cleansing of skin undergoing radiotherapy. Mild surfactants cleanse the skin gently. Plant oils rich in linoleic acid replenish lipids and support the regeneration of the skin protection barrier. Glycerine provides the skin with more moisture. The skin-friendly pH value of 5.5 and the formulation without perfumes ensure the shower gel is well tolerated by radiated skin.   

Showering during Radiotherapy – Prevent Skin Irritations and Radiodermatitis  

Careful washing and showering are usually harmless, even during radiotherapy. But no alkaline soaps should be used, but rather just mild cleansing agents. To prevent irritations, care products without perfume or irritant substances should be used. It is also extremely important not to rub the skin when drying, but rather to pat it carefully with a soft towel. 

Usage Tips  

Linola RadioDerm Shower Gel is used like a standard shower gel. Pour a small amount of the shower gel into your moistened hands, lather it up briefly and cleanse the skin carefully using circular movements. Then rinse with clear, warm water. Pat the skin dry carefully with a soft towel. Do not rub too hard so that the skin is not irritated.
